A woman (Amy Adams) who has an elaborate scheme to propose to her boyfriend on Leap Day, an Irish tradition which occurs every time the date February 29 rolls around, faces a major setback when bad weather threatens to derail her planned trip to Dublin. With the help of an innkeeper, however, her cross-country odyssey just might result in her getting engaged.

After the pop sensations Alvin, Simon and Theodore end up putting Dave in the hospital the chipmunks are left in the care of Dave Seville’s twenty-something nephew Toby (Levi). Who is not anything as responsible as Dave was. While Dave is gone he has enrolled them into the local school to keep them out of trouble while he recovers. The chipmunks are asked to help the school save their music program by having them perform at a local music contest which has a prize of $25,000. But the Chipmunks unexpectedly meet their match in three singing chipmunks known as The Chipettes -– Brittany, Eleanor and Jeanette. Romantic and musical sparks are ignited when the Chipmunks and Chipettes square off.
